- Project size - 150m²
- Completion - 10 weeks
- Modular Dance studio
- Enhanced 5kN/m² floor loading
- 3m internal ceiling height
Nunnery Wood High School introduced Dance classes into their school curriculum and therefore required a facility for this. Module-AR Limited were awarded the contract to design and build a single storey modular dance studio. Consisting of 5 No. modular bays and a total footprint of 150m², the building was clad in a combination of Cedar and Plastisol (plastic coated steel), with UPVC windows and a canopy over the entrance door.
Internally, the 115m² dance studio was furnished with Harlequin acoustic cushioned tempo flooring with an enhanced 5kN/m² loading, a superior than standard 3m internal ceiling height with recessed lighting, full height mirrors with ballet barres, white ceilings and cream internal walls & blinds to create a classic dance studio finish. Heat & cool air conditioning to keep the studio at the optimum temperature and 2 No. whiteboards were also fitted for choreographing dance routines. Alongside the studio itself, male & female changing rooms, with bench seating and hat & coat hooks, and a Lobby area were also installed.
Module-AR Limited installed the building in just 1 day, dramatically reducing on-site traffic and disruptions compared to traditional building work, and the total project was completed in just 10 weeks.
