  • Client - Total UK Ltd.
  • Project size - 720m²
  • Completion - 9 weeks
  • Restaurant and Welfare Facilities
  • Roof protection and access ladder
  • 303m² Dining & Serving Area with seating/tables for 150 employees

Total UK Ltd. required a new restaurant facility at their Lindsey Oil Refinery Immingham location. Module-AR Limited were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install the 24 No. module, 720m², restaurant.

Externally the building was designed & manufactured to be secure, robust and maintenance-free. Therefore Plastisol (plastic coated steel) was chosen as the cladding, plinth and fascia. Due to limited space on the ground, the plant equipment was roof-mounted and therefore a protection & access ladder to the roof was installed. A timber DDA access ramp and double canopy were fitted to the entrance steel door and UPVC lockable windows with restrictors complete the exterior of the restaurant.

Internally, the Lindsey Oil Refinery modular restaurant contains a Dispatch room, Prep Cold room, Walk-in Freezer, Disposables Store, Dry Store, Walk-in Fridge, Prime Cooking Area, a large Kitchen (fitted with a 20 grid Combi oven, grill, dishwasher, sinks and storage areas), a 303m² dining & serving area (with a Snack/Deli bar, Back bar, main Hot Counter and seating/tables for 150 employees), 2 No. Offices, a Lobby, Locker rooms, Changing rooms and WC's. Additional extras such as cream internal blinds to match existing buildings, fluorescent lights, water heaters, Heat & Cool air conditioning and suspended ceilings were also fitted to complete the building.

Module-AR Limited required just 1 day to deliver & install the building and a total of only 9 weeks was needed to complete the project.

Words from the client

Pete Adams, the Head of Projects at Lindsey Oil Refinery, comments: "Module-AR's delivery of the project was within challenging budget and time constraints. The building was of a high quality and met LOR's rigid specifications and requirements. The installation did not create any disruption to the ongoing operation of the adjacent workshops. These are in use 24/7 - and uncompromised availability was particularly important at that time, due to a major plant shutdown. Installation and commissioning activities were conducted in a safe and controlled manner. There were no incidents or accidents relating to Module-AR or your associated sub-contractors. Their continuous to be an open and positive working relationship between all parties and Module-AR's post-installing service has been prompt and thorough. In summary, Module-AR's performance on this project has been entirely satisfactory and we thank you for your good service."
