E.ON are one of the UK's leading power and gas companies - generating electricity and retailing power & gas - and employ over 12,000 people in the UK. Module-AR Limited were awarded the contract to provide modular Office & Welfare Accommodation as part of an overall project which includes Warehouse Storage, an interlinking Corridor and associated External Site Works for an Operations & Maintenance Facility for E.ON. The buildings are intended primarily for servicing a new off-shore wind turbine farm. The Operations & Maintenance Facility project includes renewable technologies and sustainable building methods. As such, the buildings were constructed to incorporate renewable and low carbon technologies including solar photovoltaics, wind turbines, heat recovery ventilation and LED lighting.
The building designed and manufactured by Module-AR Limited is a single storey Office structure consisting of 17 No. modules and a footprint of over 550m². Externally clad in a combination of Kingspan silver, Trespa Meteon & white Plastisol (plastic coated steel), with aluminum windows, an entrance door canopy and roof-mounted photovoltaics for improved sustainability - the building looks well-suited to the Utilities industry.
Inside the modular Office Facility is a Reception/Waiting room with Tea Area, a Meeting room with an acoustic folding partition wall, a 161m² main Office, E.ON Manager's Office, Vesta's Office, Permit Office, Control room, Technicians Facility, Mess room, WC's, Showers, a Wetsuit Drying room and Changing rooms.
The Offices were installed with suspended ceilings & feature wall-mounted display screens and the kitchen, WC's and showers are all fully fitted with a modern finish.
All 17 No. modules were installed in just 1 day with minimal disruption to the continuing E.ON works. The building design, manufacture and installation was completed in just 17 weeks which is up to 50% faster than a traditional build.
Module-AR Limited is Achilles RISQS Accredited and were awarded this very competitive contract to design, manufacture and install 23 No. modules to be used as a single-storey welfare facility for the Network Rail Bristol branch. Meeting rooms, various Offices, a fully-furnished Kitchen, Welfare facilities, Store rooms and an Archive room were included in the design.
Due to budget constraints, the Bristol building was clad with Plastisol (plastic coated steel) for a durable and cost-effective exterior. The interior however was expertly designed and fitted out to match Network Rail's stringent DNA internal specification. Brightly coloured Kitchen & Office facilities promote a creative and productive environment, the interior furniture is of a high quality to ensure a happy workforce and large interior windows make the building light, spacious and a pleasure to work in.
The modules were delivered in just 1 day to reduce on-site traffic and the total project was completed in 11 weeks. This is up to 50% quicker than if the project was completed traditionally, due to the inherent speed of off-site construction.

Stanmore College required an additional Administration facility for their Spruce Building and their existing single-storey construction was at full capacity. Expanding across the ground was not an option due to the limited space on site, therefore Module-AR Limited were awarded the contract to provide an 11 module single-storey structure to be installed on top of the existing modular building, creating a 2 storey structure to be used as Office accommodation.
The building was fitted with a large open-plan Office to accommodate the college's Administration staff, Kitchen facilities, WC's, a Plant room and various individual Offices for staff. The building features a DDA compliant lift, a combination of non-slip vinyl & carpet tiled flooring, white oak doors, Heat & Cool air conditioning, double-glazed UPVC windows and a 2.35m suspended ceiling.
Externally clad with Plastisol (plastic coated steel) on the ground floor and timber over the first floor, the new building is functional and aesthetically pleasing complying with the planning conditions.
Module-AR Limited required just 1 day to deliver the modules and this was completed on a Sunday to minimise any disturbance to the College or local community. In total the project was completed in just 12 weeks which is up to 50% faster when compared to traditional constructions.

AMC Engineering required an Office block and Welfare facility for their Aberdeen branch which Module-AR were awarded the contract to design, manufacture & install.
On the ground floor of the building there are 3 No. Offices of varying sizes, 2 No. Meeting rooms, a large Reception/Waiting Area with entrance Lobby, a Server & Electrics room, fully-fitted Kitchen, Cleaners' Store, male & female WC's and Corridor linking each room.
The first floor of the Module-AR Limited structure consists solely of 13 No. equal sized Meetings rooms, a Corridor linking each room and the internal Stairwell. The Offices, Reception, Meeting rooms and Corridors are all fitted with Primavera carpet tiles whereas the Kitchen and WC's feature hard-wearing, easy to clean Polyflor Polysafe Vinyl flooring. Heat & Cool air conditioning was installed throughout the building along with window blinds and suspended ceilings.
Externally, the AMC Engineering building features Plastisol (plastic coated steel) cladding, plinths and fascia. A pitched roof with integrated downlights within the soffits and external door canopies were also installed to give the Module-AR Limited structure the look of a traditional build.
Only 2 days were required for Module-AR Limited to install the building with a total project completion time of 11 weeks - this is up to 50% faster than if the project was completed traditionally.
Star Events Limited has been supplying equipment and services to the events industry for over 38 years, delivering stages, structures, seating and rigging for some of the world's most high profile events as well as for a vast array of smaller community and commercial events. Star Events Ltd required a company to provide two Television Broadcasting Studios for NBC News in the Olympic park during the 2012 London Olympic Games. Module-AR Limited were awarded the contract to design, manufacture and install the TV Studios due to our past experience in the Office sector and our ability to provide a range of diverse projects with a short lead time.
The buildings were for temporary purposes and therefore were clad in Plastisol (plastic coated steel) and were constructed with Polyflor XL vinyl flooring for a maintenance-free, secure & hard-wearing structure. The modules were sat on a 2m high platform which resulted in a large external steel staircase needing to be erected to allow the Television Studio team to access the building.
A double entrance steel external door opens up into the TV Studios, which were fitted with a 3.4m internal ceiling height and Heat & Cool air conditioning. The glazing requirements were extremely strict as the Studio windows had to be large brushed aluminium single-glazed laminated windows starting at 0.75m above floor level and 2m tall. The windows were set to a 10Â° angle (to prevent the cameras picking up reflections of the studio lighting) and internal fluorescent lighting was installed giving the building a professional studio appearance.
With Module-AR Limited installing the studios in just 1 day, this helped minimise site traffic to the busy Olympic park. A total project completion time of 14 weeks was all that was required - up to 50% faster than if the project was completed traditionally.
