Words from the client
The Vermuyden High School temporary modular building was a resounding success drawing quotes from Head Teacher, Danuta Tomasz: "The building gives the school an air of professionalism and reflects what we do. The temporary building is a proper school, it is just moved into a different place. It makes it a safer, happier place for students. Step inside our temporary Classrooms which are now in situ at the Boothferry Road side of the school and be transported into a modern, bright and hi-tech world of education."
Deputy Headteacher, Dave Flowitt, stated: "The Classrooms in the Vermuyden temporary block are twice the size of the old block. We wanted it to be better than a temporary fix and it has worked. You would never know you were in a temporary building. Upon opening of the new facility there was a real buzz by pupils and staff who were all very excited and really loved the new temporary Classrooms."
Jill Bristow, School Business Manager, explained: "Everyone who has seen the new block has been impressed with the overall quality and the facilities it provides. It was critical to the success of our refurbishment programme that the modular buildings arrived out of hours so minimal disruption was caused. Timely delivery was absolutely essential and the service by Module-AR was first-rate with all the modules being delivered exactly when needed. The portable buildings have been specifically designed to provide a high-quality teaching environment with good ventilation and excellent energy efficiency as well as high levels of natural light. In most cases the new classrooms are twice the size and a big improvement on our old ones."<< Back to Completed hire projects
