Vermuyden School, Goole
As part of a £15 million pound school facelift, Module-AR Limited were awarded with the contract to provide temporary buildings & teaching accommodation to house Music, Art, History, RE as well as Music Rehearsal Rooms and Temporary Office Space for Staff.
To assist with the acoustic levels to both the Music Rooms and Rehearsal Spaces the internal walls to these areas were designed to achieve a higher dB reduction.
The 950m2 single storey temporary building was designed to accommodate 300 pupils for a period of 18 months. Upon opening of the new facility there was a real buzz by pupils and staff who were all very excited and really loved the new temporary classrooms.
The temporary building was a resounding success drawing quotes from Head Teacher, Danuta Tomasz:
“The temporary building is a proper school, it has just moved us into a different place. It makes it a safer, happier place for students”.
“Step inside our temporary classrooms which are now in situ at the Boothferry Road side of the school and be transported into a modern, bright and hi-tech world of education”.
