High Storrs School, Sheffield

When Sheffield became the tenth local authority to sign a contract for its BSF project to rebuild, refurbish and upgrade secondary schools throughout the city, the £400 million investment programme also needed to refurbish High Storrs School, a Grade II Listed Building which has Performing Arts School status.

To enable High Storrs School to be refurbished, high quality portable building facilities were required to house the specialist classrooms such as 2 fully fitted out Food Technology Classrooms and associated preparation room and stores, a Dance Studio, Drama Rooms, Changing Facilities, Art Rooms, Staff Office and Relaxation Room.

Module-AR Limited were selected to become Sheffield LEP / Taylor Woodrows Key Supply Chain Partner to design and install the specialist portable classroom buildings. The overall temporary building arrangement was specifically designed to enable both conversion into Science Laboratories at a later date and future expansion. The portable buildings were split into two individual blocks covering an overall footprint of 1435m2.
