Our client is a leading provider of independent hospitals in England, with a network of 22 acute hospitals.
Module-AR have designed, manufactured and installed two schemes comprising Pre-Admissions Rooms and Consulting Rooms. The first scheme as shown in our case study houses Pre-Admission Rooms with the other at Pine Hill Hospital in Hitchin houses Consulting Rooms. A further two buildings are currently being manufactured, one being a specialist Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) facility with a bespoke linkway to connect the new building at high level back to the existing hospital at first floor level.
During each of these prestigious and specialist projects we have worked closely with the clients Project Manager and Architect to provide high quality working environments for Consultants and staff, similar to those already provided within the existing hospitals.
This building for Rivers Hospital provides three Pre-Admissions Rooms, one Resident Medical Officers (RMO) bedroom with en-suite wc facilities including a DDA compliant walk-in disabled shower, dedicated Waiting Room with adjoining Reception Office and Patient WC facilities.
HTM compliant sanitary ware has been installed along with upgraded acoustic seals around doors and partitions to minimize sound transference between rooms. A wet heating system is linked through to the main hospital via pipe work feeding low surface temperature radiators. Both the Waiting room and Reception are land locked and so to provide natural light and ventilation Velux Ventilated Roof Lights have been installed.
Our programme of works for this project was just 8 weeks from placement of order to handover, which included linking the facility back to the main hospital. Traditional external brickwork cladding was provided to the exposed elevations to match the existing hospitals brick built building.
